The Seattle Seahawks are likely to have a very different look in 2022. The Seahawks traded future Hall of Fame quarterback Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos. They also lost one of the best linebackers in football. Bobby Wagner signed with the Los Angeles Rams in free agency.

These losses has created a vacuum for leadership. Well, former Pro Bowl safety Jamal Adams is reportedly willing to fill that void.

While speaking to reporters Tuesday after minicamp, the Seahawks defensive star was asked if he was planning on taking that leadership role. He replied simply “absolutely.”

Adams went on to discuss how much the loss of Wilson and Wagner has already been felt, as noted by Mike Florio of NBC Sports.

“Those guys are different man, you can’t replace those guys,” Adams said. “They are Hall of Fame guys, but not only that, for what they do on the field, they are great people off of the field and that’s what makes them special… it definitely feels different, but at the end of the day, those guys are where they need to be, and we’re here.”

It's no secret that Seattle is in a bit of a rebuild. The NFC West division has the Super Bowl defending champion Rams. It also has the team they defeated in the NFC Championship in the 49ers. Plus, you can't sleep on Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals. Even though the Seahawks are not likely to make much noise in 2022, it's nice to see a veteran like Adams proactively trying to make a difference for the young team.
