Josh Gordon is now a member of the Seattle Seahawks. However, at Thursday's walkthrough practice — for Monday night versus the San Francisco 49ers — he was limited with an ankle injury, per the team's official website.

Following his release from New England, Seattle claimed Gordon off of waivers last week. He was previously placed on the injured reserve while with the Patriots due to a knee injury. Seattle's brass is not sure if he will play on Monday, citing practices as the catalyst to their decision making on the matter.

If he does really well during the week and feels really comfortablewith the things we’re asking of him and we can look at him and feel like, OK, he can definitely contribute and go in there and play ball at a really high level, execute on the things we can ask him to do,” said head coach Pete Carroll on Thursday, via the team's official website. “He’s really talented. He looked talented in the walkthrough. He’s a big, good looking kid and all that. He’s just got to fit in and see if we can fit it together where it’s not a distraction for us. We’re not going to put him in the game to throw him the ball. We’re trying to win a football game. If he can help us do that then we’ll figure out a way.”

Whether Gordon plays or not in Week 10 will be decided by his practice performance on Friday and Saturday. Though Seattle would certainly enjoy employing another playmaker against the undefeated 49ers, rushing him back prematurely is not in their best interests.
