Is it time for King Metcalf?

The original King, LeBron James, looks to be passing the torch into the NFL to Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf.

Following an amazing run for a touchdown by Metcalf at the end of the first quarter, LeBron took to Instagram to praise the Seahawks receiver and to crown him as Baby Bron.

The play, with only seven seconds left in the first quarter, had Metcalf catch a pass from Seahawks star gunslinger Russell Wilson in the middle of the field. He would move laterally to avoid defenders before turning the corner and beating out every defender down the sideline.

Metcalf has caught five passes for 100 yards and a touchdown against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday afternoon in the Seahawks' bounce-back win.

Metcalf came into Week 8 with 519 receiving yards on 24 receptions, scoring five touchdowns. He's leading the league in yards per reception, averaging 21.6 yards per catch.

This catch gave the Seahawks an early lead over the 49ers in a big game in the very competitive NFC West. The Seahawks are looking to extend their one game lead in the division over the Arizona Cardinals, who are on their bye week this week. The NFC West is the strongest division in the NFL this season, with every team being over .500 currently.

With a loss today, the 49ers would fall to.500 at 4-4. The AFC North is the only division with more than two teams over .500 in the division.

The Seahawks are looking to make the playoffs for the third straight season.
