Seattle Seahawks first-round rookie was carted off of Tuesday's training camp session due to an ankle injury. Fortunately, nothing broke, nor were there any ligaments tears. Unfortunately, he suffered a “usual” ankle sprain close to his foot. Head coach Pete Caroll shed some light onto the situation following Thursday's practice, as he told the media, according to Gregg Bell of The News Tribune,

It’s not a garden-variety sprain, at all. It’s a little bit of an unusual one, kind of in the upper part of his foot. It’s an unusual one for us. We really haven’t had a guy who’s sprained his ankle just like this. So that’s why we are going to be very slow, to make sure we know what we are doing with it. It’s a rare sprain.

He mentioned that Collier will be out for some time as they manage the situation,

He’s got a badly sprained ankle, and it’s going to be a little bit. It’s really unfortunate. It was really an awkward position that he got tangled up in. And so we are going to have to take some time here to figure it out. It’s going to be some weeks, though.

On the basis of Caroll's quotes, Collier may miss the start of the regular season but will be seen as a rookie. The Seahawks need his services following the trade of Frank Clark. But 30-year-old Ezekial Ansah has shown promise in the past, is healthy, and should fill-in for the rookie's duties. Cassius Marsch can do the same.
