Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll has told ESPN 710 Seattle that tight end Luke Willson suffered a hamstring injury during his team's pivotal Monday night win over the San Francisco 49ers. Carroll said he doesn't have an update on Willson's status.

Willson logged two catches for 20 yards in the 27-24 overtime victory. On the season overall, he has totaled eight grabs for 79 yards.

The 29-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Rice University, went undrafted but eventually landed with the Seahawks in 2013, when he played in all 16 games and caught 20 passes for 272 yards and a touchdown.

Willson had a similar role in 2014, finishing with 22 receptions for 362 yards and three scores.

Since then, the Windsor, Canada native has yet to tally 20 catches in a single season, registering 17, 15, 15 and 13 grabs, respectively, from 2015 through 2018.

He did, however, reach the end zone four times in 2017 and has accumulated 11 touchdowns over the course of his career.

The Seahawks improved to 8-2 with their win over the previously unbeaten 49ers and moved to within a half-game (one in the loss column) of San Francisco for first place in the NFC West.

Seattle has won three straight games overall since losing to the Baltimore Ravens on Oct. 20.

The Seahawks' schedule won't get any easier going forward, however, as five of their remaining seven games will come against clubs that currently own winning records.

Seattle has a bye this week, but its gauntlet will begin in Week 12 when it heads on the road to take on the Philadelphia Eagles. It will then trek back home to host the Minnesota Vikings on Dec. 2.
