Paxton Lynch spent the first two years of his career with the Denver Broncos after being selected by the team in the first round (26th pick overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft.

During his two seasons with the club, he played in five games and made just four starts, totaling 792 yards, four touchdowns, and four interceptions while completing 61.7 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 76.7.

Then, going into 2018, the Broncos cut Lynch, and he spent all of last season without a team.

Now, Lynch is a member of the Seattle Seahawks, and on Thursday night, he got a chance to face his former Broncos squad and delivered with a strong performance, completing 11 of his 15 passes for 109 yards and a touchdown in what ended up being a 22-14 win.

But while some have joked that this was a revenge game of sorts for Lynch, the 25-year-old says it was nothing of the sort.

“I know that there was some talk that it was about that, but I love those guys,” Lynch said, according to John Boyle of the Seahawks' official team website. “I have a lot of love for a lot of guys on that team, they mean a lot to me. I respect them and love them, they’re close friends to me, so it had nothing to do with that. It was more to me, I had a lot to prove to myself tonight, and I feel like I went out there and did that.”

Lynch will obviously spend the year backing up Russell Wilson, but you have to think that he hopes that one day, he can get another shot as a starting quarterback somewhere.
