The Seattle Seahawks and coach Pete Carroll delivered a win over the Cleveland Browns. However, their victory didn’t come without a cost: Tight end Will Dissly may spend the rest of the season on the sidelines. He suffered a severe Achilles injury.

Multiple sources reported on the news, and each one of them point to the possibility of Uncle Will not being able to play for the remainder of the season.

Michael-Shawn Dugar gained access to the Seahawks’ locker room and reported the team’s fears. He noted that Will Dissly had a specific goal which will now be unfulfilled.

Field Yates reported what Pete Carroll had to say about his young tight end’s condition in the coming weeks.

Jeremy Fowler tweeted that the team fears a torn Achilles has affected the former Washington stalwart.

If proven, this will be the second time in his still-young career that he suffered a season-ending injury on an important body part. The torn Achilles takes a long time to heal, and it wouldn’t be surprising if he missed the entirety of the 2020 season due to this as well.

Dissly was sorely missed by Russell Wilson as the defense had to bail the offense in a close shave. He has only played nine games prior to this one, catching a total of 418 yards and six touchdowns on 31 receptions.

Losing a big target will affect Seattle’s productivity and Super Bowl chances for sure. Seahawks Nation can only hope that the injury isn’t as serious as they feared it is.
