Head coach Pete Carroll led his Seattle Seahawks to victory on Sunday afternoon as the surging NFC West team defeated the Philadelphia Eagles. Carroll was quick to dish out some serious praise after the game as well as his squad strung together quite an impressive performance on the road — especially Seahawks defensive back Quandre Diggs.

The Seahawks defeated the Eagles by the score of 17-9 in Week 12.

“He’s doing stuff. I’m really excited about him,” Carroll said after the game, via NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk. “As a good player that’s got experience and good wherewithal and all that, he helps other players. He’s doing it. The confidence that comes from knowing he knows the game and knows what’s going on.”

It is also worth noting that the Seahawks previously acquired a veteran safety in Diggs via trade with the Detroit Lions, which is already paying dividends for Carroll and company.

“It’s the factor that really good players bring. Guys around them play better,” Carroll added, via NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk.

Thanks to the team's most recent victory, one that came against yet another tough NFC opponent, the Seahawks are a stellar 9-2 on the season. Neck and neck with the one loss San Francisco 49ers in the NFC West division, both franchises will surely reach the postseason when all is said and done. However, both also remain alive for a divisional crown as the Seahawks and 49ers have combined to produce a sensational 18-3 record to begin the 2019-20 regular season.
