Seattle Seahawks tight end Ed Dickson suffered a knee injury. Head coach Pete Carroll, in Monday's press conference, via Gregg Bell, talked about the injury, saying;

We are determining whether he needs surgery or not. It's going to take us maybe about four or five weeks, maybe six weeks at the most [if he has surgery]. It's very minor, but we've got to out how much needs to be done and the timing of it.

As of now, the severity and placement of the injury are unknown. The 32-year-old Dickson has suffered a knee injury once in his career, in 2012.

Ed Dickson joined the Seahawks in 2018 for his ninth NFL season. The results of the year include a 12/143/3 stat line as injuries marred the campaign. He injured his groin in training camp, which held him out of the first six games of play. He wasn't able to jell with his teammates and gain full rhythm.

For his nine-year career, with the Baltimore Ravens, Carolina Panthers, and now Seahawks, Dickson has compiled 190 receptions for 2,128 yards and 15 touchdowns. His best statistical season came with the Ravens in 2011, when he started the whole season and recorded 54 receptions for 528 yards and five touchdowns.

The Seahawks marginally improved their tight end group in the 2019 offseason, trading for former New England Patriot Jacob Hollister. Nick Vannett and Will Dissly are expected to be the two leading snap leaders, with Dickson — if he returns quickly from surgery — and Hollister backing them up.
