The Seattle Seahawks snuck past the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 9 with a 40-34 overtime win.

A big part of that victory was quarterback Russell Wilson. The MVP-candidate had one of his best games of the season, completing 29-of-43 passes for 378 yards and five touchdowns. He had no turnovers and even picked up another 21 yards on the ground on just one carry.

Wilson's big game wasn't just a stat-sheet stuffer though, the quarterback was clutch.

The quarterback threw a touchdown pass with barely four minutes left in regulation to give the Seahawks a 34-27 lead. However, the Buccaneers drove down the field and scored with under one minute left to tie the game.

That just gave Wilson a chance to go to work in overtime though. With just over six minutes left before the game was considered a tie, Wilson threw a touchdown pass to tight end Jacob Hollister (his second of the game).

Obviously, this game the Seahawks the win. This moved them to 7-2 on the year. Afterwards, head coach Pete Carroll spoke on his superstar quarterback's clutch game.

Carroll has to be running out of things to say about Wilson at this point. It seems like every week he's giving his team a chance to win.

The reason it seems like that is because that's exactly what's happening. As mentioned before, the Seahawks are 7-2 on the year.

Meanwhile, Wilson has thrown 22 touchdown passes compared to just one interception. He's already thrown for over 2,500 yards and has added another 203 (and three touchdowns) on the ground.

Wilson has been clutch all year long and it's led to the Seahawks being one of the best teams in the NFL. It's hard to imagine he won't be in the running for MVP if he keeps up this ridiculous level of play. If that happens, expect Seattle to make a deep playoff run as well.
