Phillip Dorsett is still looking to find himself in the NFL, and he thinks joining Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson could do the trick.

The wide receiver signed with the Seahawks in free agency, and he is looking forward to playing with Wilson, whom Dorsett compared to Houdini:

“His deep ball ability and then the way he plays. You can just see it,” Dorsett said on Sports Radio 950 KJR. “I feel like honestly he doesn’t get as much credit as he deserves. He’s a great quarterback and the way he does what he does under the center back there is amazing. He’s a magician. He’s Houdini and he can make every throw. It’s a blessing that I get to play with him and I can’t wait to get there and work him.”

Dorsett will be joining a Seahawks' receiving corps that already includes Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf, not to mention incoming tight end Greg Olsen. So, he will certainly have to work his way up to earn his targets.

The 27-year-old spent the last three seasons with the New England Patriots and is coming off of a 2019 campaign in which he played 14 games and logged 29 catches for 397 yards and five touchdowns.

Dorsett, who played his collegiate football at the University of Miami, was originally selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the first round (29th pick overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft.

He spent his first two years with the Colts, but was a rather big disappointment. Indianapolis eventually traded Dorsett to the Patriots for quarterback Jacoby Brissett just ahead of the 2017 season.

He'll try to become an impact player in the Seahawks' offense next season.
