Throughout the week, all signs pointed towards Rashaad Penny suiting up for the Seattle Seahawks in Week 4. Instead, the second-year running back will be inactive on Sunday versus the Arizona Cardinals per Ian Rapoport.

Prior to last week's game against the New Orleans Saints, Penny was dealing with a hamstring injury. Therefore, the young running back was sidelined in the team's loss in Week 3.

Earlier in the week, Penny failed to practice but he logged a limited and full practice to end the week. Following Friday's practice, there was optimism that he would be able to give it a go on Sunday.

In the two games that he has been in uniform, Penny has rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown on 16 attempts. Penny has also tacked another 78 yards receiving on 10 receptions for Seattle.

Seattle has been wanting to get Penny more involved in the offense but it's tough to do that when he isn't available. With Penny being inactive against the Cardinals, Chris Carson will be the featured running back once again.

However, Carson is going to need to prove to the coaching staff that he can hold onto the ball. In the team's first three games, he has fumbled the ball at least once in each one of them.

Along with Carson, C.J. Prosise could see an increased workload out of the backfield.

Regardless of who is running the ball, the Seahawks should be able to gash Arizona's defense; who have allowed the third-most rushing yards per game this season.
