The Seattle Seahawks drafted Rashaad Penny in the first-round (27th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft. They did this despite many people feeling there were better options on the board. Due to that, everything about Penny is put under a microscope.

For now, that's leading to a positive reaction according to Bob Condotta on Twitter.

Last season, Rashaad Penny looked great in the limited playing time he got. The running back picked up 419 yards on the ground on 85 rushes (4.9 yards per carry) and two touchdowns.

While those numbers were nice, the criticism came at his chances. If the Seahawks didn't trust Penny to give him more touches, why take him so early?

Things could change quickly this season though. Penny is another year old and now has NFL experience under his belt. They didn't use him much in his rookie year, meaning he should be 100% fresh too.

Now he's getting rave reviews about his condition. You'd have to expect that means it's the coaching staff (and possibly other players) that are giving these thoughts.

If the praise is coming from the coaching staff, maybe this is what they've been looking for. There's no denying Rashaad Penny is an extremely talented running back who has the tools to make it in the NFL. Now it appears he's ready to make that next step as he continues to grow.

More importantly, it appears the Seattle Seahawks coaching staff is ready to allow him to take that next step. This is simply further proof that Rashaad Penny will more-than-likely be taking on a much bigger workload in 2019 than he did in 2018. Who's ready?
