Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is failing to understand why the National Football League fined the  franchise for its handling of his concussion back on Nov. 9.

“I guess that’s what they decided to do,” Wilson said Thursday, via Gregg Bell of The News Tribune. “I thought that everything was done in the right way. There was a lot of confusion on why I was coming out of the game anyway.”

For those missing some context, Russell Wilson was smacked on the jaw in a brutally violent hit, which resulted in an official forcing him to the sideline to be evaluated. However, when “tested” by medical professionals, Wilson went under that fancy blue tent for what amounted to a very few seconds.

That latter part is important, as there is no way he could have gone through the concussion protocol in that amount of time. Then again, Wilson didn't believe he should have been sent to the sideline to begin with.

“I was completely clear,” Wilson said. “My jaw was messed up, but other than that. . . . That’s what they decided.”

It is probably worth noting that the Seahawks quarterback believes that a certain brand of water can help cure concussions. He's probably not the best guy to be talking about this topic.
