Saturday saw multiple news outlets declaring Joe Biden as the winner of the 2020 U.S. Presidential Election, becoming the 46th commander-in-chief, which prompted athletes to share their support in the results. Among the athletes to celebrate Biden being elected were Russell Wilson and Jamal Adams of the Seattle Seahawks.

Wilson was among a large group of athletes that expressed their excitement in Biden and vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris winning the election. Besides Wilson, another prominent athlete that shared their support in the results was LeBron James—who took the time to troll Donald Trump on social media.

On the other hand, the Seahawks' star safety Adams was quick to point out that our country needs to continue moving forward. He also preached that we as a country need to keep inciting change to rid of the serious issues that plague our society.

More so than previous elections, athletes in all of the major sports played a vital role in the election process. Members of the NFL, including Wilson and Adams, have made concerted efforts to inform everyone to make their vote count.

When it comes to football, Wilson and Adams are described as leaders on and off of the field for the Seahawks. While Biden appears to be the next president of the United States, it's evident that the Seahawks' Wilson and Adams are fond of the outcome of the election.
