Russell Wilson struggled on Monday night against the Minnesota Vikings, but he still did enough to lead the Seattle Seahawks to a victory, and also set an NFL record in the process. The win was Wilson's 73rd as a member of the Seahawks, which is a record for most wins in a quarterbacks first seven seasons.

Wilson has already had a special career and led the Seahawks to a Super Bowl win. This year the team has changed their offensive philosophy and have turned into more of a running team. Wilson has still made the big throws when it's needed but there is no question this is a run first team.

Against the Vikings, Wilson threw for only 72 yards and didn't have a touchdown. He also threw a really bad interception right before halftime that kept points off the board.

On the season, Wilson has thrown 2,788 yards, 29 touchdowns, and six interceptions and an average passer rating of 111.0. Even with the change in offensive philosophy, Wilson is still having a good game, and the 111 rating is higher than his career average of 100.1.

The Seahawks currently sit in the top Wild Card spot and if they want to make a run in the playoffs Wilson is going to need to play well. Seattle's defense is going to do its job, but Wilson also needs to do a better job of taking care of the ball and start trying to push the ball downfield again, something that he struggled to do against the Vikings.
