Last week, Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said that tight end Ed Dickson would make his return after the Seahawks' Week 11 bye.

It looks like that is exactly what is going to happen.

Per Darin Gantt of Pro Football Talk, Seattle has activated Dickson from the injured reserve list. Dickson has been sidelined since training camp due to a knee injury.

He is now coming back at the best possible time, as the Seahawks are currently without fellow tight ends Luke Willson (who is nursing a hamstring issue) and Will Dissly, who underwent surgery to repair a torn Achilles and is on injured reserve.

Dickson initially joined Seattle in March 2018. During his first year with the club, he played in 10 games, logging 12 catches for 143 yards and a touchdown.

The 32-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Oregon, was originally selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the third round (70th pick overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft.

He spent the first four years of his career with the Ravens, with his most productive season coming in 2011 when he hauled in 54 receptions for 528 yards and five scores.

Dickson then linked up with the Carolina Panthers for four years. His best year with the team came in 2017, as he caught 30 passes for 437 yards while reaching the end zone once.

The Seahawks are 8-2 on the season and are just one game behind the San Francisco 49ers for first place in the NFC West. They will take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
