The Seattle Seahawks have made efforts to revamp the supporting cast for quarterback Russell Wilson in recent years. It appears they will be adding a familiar face in wide receiver Paul Richardson to help kick things up a notch in the 2020 NFL season.

According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, the Seahawks are expected to sign Richardson to a deal once he clears COVID-19 protocol.

The Seahawks already boast a stellar receiver tandem with the emergence of Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf during the 2019 campaign. They were hoping that the addition of Phillip Dorsett in free agency would provide some quality depth to this untested receiving corps, however, he has been hampered by a foot injury as of late with the season just weeks away.

Seattle seems to be optimistic that Richardson can provide some continuity for Wilson in the passing game. The former second-round pick registered 95 receptions for 1,302 yards and eight touchdowns in 47 games during his previous stint with the team.

Richardson signed a lucrative deal with the Washington Football Team until shoulder and hamstring injuries cut his first two seasons short, which ultimately led to his release this offseason. Regardless, a potential revival on the Seahawks would make for quite the homecoming. Although his familiarity with the system should help pay some dividends, it will be interesting to see just what kind of role he takes on to start the year.
