Circles around the NFL recognize Josh Gordon as a superb football talent. However, his off-the-field issues have made him a difficult player to coach for most teams. This fact makes the Seattle Seahawks' acquisition of the former New England Patriot an interesting development to follow.

Many of the Seahawks players know about Gordon's trials with substance abuse, but they're more than excited to welcome a talented man like “Flash” to their fold. The Seattle Times' Adam Jude reveals how much the players are looking forward to the wideout's debut with Seattle. It seems that the team is more than ready to help him with his issues on and off the field.

“So when he gets here, we’ll embrace him,” left tackle Duane Brown said. “We’ll be here for him in whatever capacity we need to be, but I expect nothing but the best from him.”

Bobby Wagner, linebacker and one of the team captains, is confident that Gordon will be able to find himself a nice little spot on the Seattle roster.

“The environment here is very welcoming,” Wagner said. “It’s definitely an environment that allows you to be yourself; it allows you to be the best version of yourself. We’re not trying to have him or anybody in here be anybody but themselves.

Gordon will be a wonderful addition to the Seahawks offense. He was a superb option for the Patriots last year when Bill Belichick traded for him. In the 11 games he played, he managed to rack up 720 receiving yards and three touchdowns. One can only imagine what he can do with a passer like Russell Wilson.
