Seattle continued to fortify its defense Thursday, signing former Cardinals and Broncos cornerback Jamar Taylor. The Seahawks already announced the signing of former Lions defensive end Ziggy Ansah.

Taylor visited the team last month.

The Broncos targeted the then-six-year NFL veteran following a leg injury to all-pro cornerback Chris Harris Jr. in December of last year.

To start the year, Taylor was traded from the Cleveland Browns to the Cardinals for a 2019 sixth-round pick to play opposite Patrick Peterson for the 2018 season. He lasted 10 games with Arizona before being cut. In all, Taylor recorded 18 tackles and one forced fumble.

The native of  San Diego, Taylor joins his fifth NFL team.

Taylor made three starts for Arizona, recording 17 tackles and one pass deflection last season. His best season was with the Browns in 2016 when he recorded three interceptions and 13 pass deflections.

For his career, Taylor has recorded 219 tackles, three interceptions, and two forced fumbles.

He played his college football at Boise State and spent the first three seasons of his NFL career with the Miami Dolphins, who drafted him in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft.

Taylor figures to fill the void left by Justin Coleman, who left Seattle in free agency to ink a $36 million pact with the Detroit Lions, the most for a nickelback in league history. The 28-year-old Taylor will be flanked by corners Shaquill Griffin and Tre Flowers in Seattle.
