The Seattle Seahawks are looking for a tight end. Following the placement of starter Will Dissly (Achilles) on the injured reserve, the Seahawks are expected to be players in the tight end market heading into the Oct. 29th NFL trade deadline, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Dissly was emerging as one of Russell Wilson's favorite targets before sustaining the Achilles injury in Week 6. In six games, he tallied 23 receptions for 262 yards and four touchdowns.

Of course, it's unknown who exactly is available in trade talks. However, expect Seahawks faithful to put in their calls for Tampa Bay Buccaneers' O.J. Howard — a third-year Alabama product with elite athleticism and a diminishing role in Bruce Arians' offense.

As Rapoport mentions, the Seahawks have been using back-end defensive ends, including the 6-4, 295-pound Branden Jackson, as blocking tight ends in practice. They may do so on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens.

Currently, the Seahawks have two healthy tight ends in Luke Willson and Jacob Hollister. Seattle traded backup Nick Vannett to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sept. 24th in exchange for a fifth-round selection. Shortly after making the trade, they signed Willson off the free-agent market.

Willson spent five years with the Seahawks before joining the Detroit Lions for the 2018 season. He rejoined the Seahawks after the Oakland Raiders released him at the end of training camp. For his career, he has 107 receptions for 1,268 yards and 11 touchdowns.

The Seahawks traded a 2020 seventh-round pick to the New England Patriots for Hollister in the offseason. He has failed to log a reception in Seattle while playing one game out of six.
