The Seattle Seahawks have added a veteran defensive lineman to the fold, according to a weekend report from Tom Pelissero of NFL.com. The Seahawks have reportedly signed veteran defensive tackle Al Wood to a one-year free-agent contract.

According to Pelissero's weekend report, the Seahawks have agreed to pay Woods a $2.25 salary for the upcoming 2019 season.

The 32-year-old defensive tackle will now begin to gear up for his second go-round in the Pacific Northwest. Previously a member of the Seahawks for one season back in 2011, Woods has suited up for five NFL franchises with two stints in Seattle now part of his track record. Originally breaking into the NFL in 2010, Woods has played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Tennessee Titans, and Indianapolis Colts in addition to the Seahawks.

Spending the last two seasons as a member of the Colts, Woods appeared in an even 30 regular season games for the AFC South franchise. Appearing in 14 regular season games for the playoff-bound Colts in 2018, Woods tallied 24 total tackles with 10 of those wrap-ups coming by way of the solo variety. He also managed to register one pass defense but failed to record a sack last season. For his NFL career as a whole, which has spanned 111 regular season games, the seasoned defensive lineman has produced 172 total tackles, 92 solo tackles, and 4.5 sacks.

Of course, the NFC West is all of a sudden one of the best divisions in all of football with the Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals all improving significantly this offseason.
