The Seattle Seahawks may end up seeing quite a bit of turnaround with their roster in the upcoming offseason. At the least, wide receiver DK Metcalf is looking forward to staying put with the team.

In speaking during a press conference ahead of the Seahawks’ Week 18 matchup with the Arizona Cardinals, Metcalf confirmed that he is not aiming to leave the team anytime soon.

“Of course, I’m not trying to leave,” Metcalf said.

As mentioned, the Seahawks could end up seeing a few notable players depart in the offseason. Veteran quarterback Russell Wilson has been linked with a multitude of teams over the past year in regard to a trade, although he recently confirmed that he would like to remain in Seattle “for at least 20 years.” The future of All-Pro linebacker Bobby Wagner has also been much in question as of late, especially as he is due a base salary of $16.3 million for the 2022 season.

Metcalf may already have an eye on possible contract extension talks with the Seahawks, as he only has a mere one more full season remaining on his rookie contract deal. In February, Metcalf officially signed with CAA Sports as his new representation. More so, he noted in the offseason that he is looking to stay on with the Seahawks for the long-term, as he has an eye on helping to “bring a championship” to Seattle.

While the Seahawks may have already jump-started plans for the much-anticipated offseason, Metcalf sure may be looking to reach an impressive feat in Week 18. He is three touchdown receptions away from setting the Seahawks single-season record for touchdown catches, as Doug Baldwin (14 in 2015) is the current holder of this notable record.

Metcalf has so far recorded 70 receptions, 909 receiving yards and 12 touchdown catches in 16 games played this season.
