In the last several weeks, there has been a growing expectation that the Seattle Seahawks are nearing a major decision to part ways with All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman. He had also recently undergone some minor surgery that he revealed was down to shave off a bone spur that had been a nagging issue for the last few years, but he still expects to be back on the field by June. However, this has left some mystery as to what kind of player he will be after suffering a major injury that can alter his career path.

With Sherman on the market, there will likely be several teams lined up for his services that have strong needs to address their cornerback position that could include the likes of the Oakland Raiders, San Francisco 49ers, and New England Patriots. This put him in line to receive a lucrative deal on the open market as one of the top defensive backs available.
