It's been a terrible season for the Seattle Seahawks so far, as they're close to being eliminated from the postseason already. The roster has multiple holes on the roster and it feels like a rebuild is imminent. With the season coming to an end, speculation is building that Russell Wilson could be traded in the 2022 offseason.

However, according to Ian Rapoport, the Seahawks seem adamant about keeping Russell Wilson on the roster. Mike Garafolo claims Seattle sees Wilson being a part of their future. He's under contract for two more seasons and then there's the possibility of giving him the franchise tag as well.

The Seahawks might just be the most delusional franchise in the league. They need a monumental amount of help on the defensive side of the ball, while also having holes on the offensive line and running back group. Additionally, the team has a limited amount of draft picks after giving them away to the New York Jets for Jamal Adams.

Trading Wilson away will clear up much-needed cap space and give the franchise multiple draft picks to rebuild the roster. However, the front office seems to believe they're still a contender when the record says otherwise.
