The Dallas Cowboys have experienced some turnover at key positions this offseason. Fortunately, it appears they managed to secure a familiar face for the 2020 NFL season. According to NFL Network's Mike Garofolo, the Cowboys have re-signed linebacker Sean Lee to a one-year, $4.5 million deal:

Lee has long served as an integral member of the Cowboys linebacker corps. He will now have another opportunity at a playoff run with America's Team before potentially deciding to hang his cleats up.

Of course, the biggest concern regarding Lee is whether or not he will be healthy enough to take on the grind of an entire season. Fortunately, he managed to somewhat dispel these concerns by playing in all 16 games during the 2019 NFL season for only the second time in his career. Although his track record with injuries leaves much to be desired, both sides are clearly optimistic that he will be able to do it again next season.

Lee had once been the shot-caller of this talented Cowboys defense as a former two-time Pro Bowler and first-team All-Pro. However, injuries have minimized his role and he now serves to provide quality depth at linebacker as a backup. While he may no longer be relied upon as a key starter, he is still considered to be a stabilizing factor for this group given his wealth of experience.

Expectations remain as high as ever in Dallas. It seems Lee will have one more shot to help make their championship hopes come to fruition.
