Sean Lee has spent his entire career in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys, but there's a chance he ends his career for another team in the NFC East. According to a source close to the veteran linebacker, Lee ‘would welcome' the chance to play for the New York Giants.

Ahead of free agency, the Cowboys have plenty of notable names set to hit the open market. Given the team's priorities, there's a legitimate chance that Lee has already played his final down in Dallas.

With the duo of Jaylon Smith and Leighton Vander Esch, Lee's  role with the Cowboys diminished. But with Vander Esch dealing with a neck injury in 2019, Lee was able to make the most of his opportunity.

In 13 starts this season, the Penn State product notched 86 tackles and an interception. Despite showing he can still produce for a team, the Giants would need to sign Lee to a reasonable price for it to make sense.

Usually, teams that are rebuilding tend to stray away from signing veteran players who have struggled with injuries. Albeit, the Giants recently released Alec Ogletree and Kareem Martin. Considering that information, New York are undoubtedly going to be in the market for linebackers.

Before writing off the idea, Jason Garrett is the new offensive coordinator of the Giants. Prior to joining the Giants, Garrett was the head coach of the Cowboys from 2010-2019. Therefore, he is familiar with coaching Lee. If the Giants are interested in signing an experienced linebacker, Lee could find himself facing the Cowboys twice a year.
