Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks are finally set to begin the 2020 NFL season. After an offseason full of uncertainty due to the COVID-19 pandemic, no one could be more excited to see live football on TV. In Week 1, the Seahawks will begin their season with a big Sunday afternoon matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.

Due to the coronavirus, there will be no fans in the stadium this week. It's a road game for the Seahawks, but it won't feel like it much.

Heading into the season, there are quite a few differing opinions about where the Seahawks will finish at the end of the year. Some believe they can win the NFC West division and make a deep playoff run, while others think they will have a good season that ends in the Wild Card or Divisional Round of the playoffs. If you ask the Seahawks, they should be destined for a big year.

Pete Carroll and company have to like the moves that were made this offseason. Jamal Adams was the huge offseason addition and was acquired in a blockbuster trade with the New York Jets. Adams gives the Seahawks a superstar at the safety position that they have missed since Earl Thomas left town and Kam Chancellor was forced to retire.

All of that being said, let's dive in and take a look at three bold predictions for the Seattle Seahawks this week as they begin their season against the Falcons.

3. DK Metcalf Begins The Season With A Bang

After receiving a ton of hype throughout the pre-draft process last offseason, Metcalf was widely expected to be a first-round pick. Some even though he could go in the top-10. However, he didn't end up going in the first round and fell all the way down to the No. 64 overall pick in the second round and the Seahawks happily snatched him up.

During his rookie campaign, Metcalf ended up catching 58 passes for 900 yards and seven touchdowns. He even had a massive playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles in the Wild Card round. In that game, he caught seven passes for 160 yards and a touchdown.

Metcalf will begin the 2020 season with a bang against the Falcons. They don't have the best secondary and he will take full advantage of that. He will end up catching eight passes for 115 yards and two scores in the first game of the year.

2. Jamal Adams Wreaks Havoc On The Falcons In His Debut With The Team

Next up, the Seahawks could not be more excited to get their first look at Jamal Adams. It took a lot to acquire him, but Seattle firmly believes that Adams could be the missing piece they have been needing to find. Jadeveon Clowney may be gone, but the acquisition of Adams completely offsets that and then some.

Adams put together another big season in 2019 for the Jets. He recorded 75 total tackles to go along with 6.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, an interception, a defensive touchdown, and seven defended passes.
