After last season, many people assumed Seton Hall Pirates talent Myles Powell would leave the school to go to the NBA or some other professional ranks. Instead, he's returned and is helping the program enter the 2019-20 college basketball season with a high set of expectations attached to it.

At Big East Conference media day, the youngster let it be known this his decision to stay in school was an easy one. Furthermore, there's some deep personal reasons for it.

“I sit back and say for me to be the first one, no one can take that for me,” said Myles Powell, via The AP. “I have five little brothers and sisters who look up to me, and I can set an example for them. For me to be the first to say that in my family is important.”

It's probably worth noting the Seton Hall Pirates standout was voted the preseason Player of the Year.

For those unaware, he is pretty remarkable at the game of basketball.
