Brandon Jennings caused quite a stir recently when he took a shot at Paul Pierce on his Twitter account, despite receiving a lot congratulatory messages after playing his last game.

The Washington Wizards backup point guard claimed that the 19-year league veteran does not deserve a “farewell tour” as he only won one ring in his career.

Jennings received a lot of criticisms for his strong words against one of the best players to ever play the game. Even if he deleted the tweet, many already saw it and damage has been done.

Shaquille O'Neal fired back at him in behalf of his former teammate. He did not hold back in defending The Truth and even went as far as calling Jennings as someone “who can't play.”

“When can a player that doesn't have game talk about a player that does have game? A guy that can't play talking about a guy than can play.”

The 6-foot-1 guard responded by saying he respects O'Neal's opinion, as well as his co-hosts from Inside the NBA.

With the amount of flak he has received following his controversial tweet, Jennings may want to think twice next time before taking a shot at someone, especially when it's a well-respected player.
