Players have been waiting for this banner, and it’s going to arrive very soon. Alongside Hu Tao’s rerun, the weapon banner featuring the Staff of Homa and Elegy of the End will run along with it. The Staff of Homa has been widely regarded as the most broken weapon in the game, thanks to its amazing ATK bonus and Crit DMG stats. Meanwhile, the Elegy of the End isn’t really that hot, considering its incredibly niche passive that can only be fully utilized by Venti. In the end, players will need to decide whether pulling for the Homa is worth having the chance of getting an underwhelming 5-star bow. If you need more convincing, this guide will help you decide if it’s worth pulling from this banner or not.

Weapons Overview and Analysis

Lv 90 Staff of Homa – 608 ATK – 66.2% Crit DMG

Passive – Reckless Cinnabar – HP increased by 20%. Additionally, provides an ATK Bonus based on 0.8% of the wielder’s Max HP. When the wielder’s HP is less than 50%, this ATK Bonus is increased by an additional 1% of Max HP.

The massive flat ATK bonus makes this weapon universal for all polearm users, significantly increasing their damage. The Crit DMG substat is also very desirable, which makes finding a good crit ratio easier. This is considered broken due to the fact that it’s just an amazingly good stat stick, like the Wolf’s Gravestone or Mistsplitter’s Reforged.

Lv 90 Elegy of the End – 608 ATK – 55.1% Energy Recharge

Passive – The Parting RefrainA part of the “Millennial Movement” that wanders amidst the winds. Increases Elemental Mastery by 60. When the Elemental Skills or Elemental Bursts of the character wielding this weapon hit opponents, that character gains a Sigil of Remembrance. This effect can be triggered once every 0.2s and can be triggered even if said character is not on the field. When you possess 4 Sigils of Remembrance, all of them will be consumed and all nearby party members will obtain the “Millennial Movement: Farewell Song” effect for 12s. “Millennial Movement: Farewell Song” increases Elemental Mastery by 100 and increases ATK by 20%. Once this effect is triggered, you will not gain Sigils of Remembrance for 20s.

This weapon is a tough one to pull for. If it had a different substat and not Energy Recharge, it would have been a better choice, since Energy Recharge is not something bow users want too much of. The passive that provides team-wide EM and ATK% is great for the likes of Venti and Diona, but Venti would prefer having a Stringless, and Diona with a Sacrificial Bow.

Why You Should Pull for the Weapon Banner

Elegy of the End might be a turn-off for some players, but if you have bow users that can make use of it, it’s still a better bow than other 4-star options. If you have Venti, Fischl, or Sara Kujou, getting Elegy of the End would enhance their overall performance. And despite the downsides, the Staff of Homa is still an overpowered weapon. If you particularly don’t care about ‘wasting’ primogems, then the Homa will bring your polearm users to greater heights. Here are more reasons why you should pull for the weapon banner:

  1. You want to enhance Hu Tao’s damage with the Staff of Homa
  2. You have a Venti or Kujou Sara who can utilize the Elegy
  3. You want to try getting more 5-star weapons in general
  4. You want to get multiple copies of the Widsith in the 4-star weapon rate-up

Why You Should Not Pull on the Weapon Banner

This might be difficult to accept for some, but 5-star weapons are not necessary at all, especially if you prefer just collecting new characters instead of weapons. Furthermore, Hu Tao and Venti, who both have signature weapons in the banner, have great alternatives in the 4-star weapon pool. Hu Tao makes great use of the Dragon’s Bane and Deathmatch, while Venti performs amazingly well with the Stringless.

Here are other reasons why you should not pull on the weapon banner:

  1. You want to save your primogems for future weapons, like the Amos’ bow or Itto’s signature weapon
  2. You don’t like the system for weapon banners, because of the more expensive guarantee (240 pulls)
  3. You would prefer pulling more on the character banner, for Hu Tao or Thoma Constellations
