Sifu Release Date: February 22, 2022

Originally set to release on February 22, 2022, Sifu's developer Sloclap moved the release date up by two weeks, now releasing on February 8, 2022. Such is a rare move in the video gaming industry, as we now experience a lot of release date delays than release date bump ups. So, props to Sloclap for shipping the game out earlier than expected. Pre-ordering the game's Deluxe Edition will entitle players to a 10% discount and 48 hours of early access, allowing them to play the game two full days ahead of everyone else. The game will eventually receive a physical version released in May. Apart from Sifu, Sloclap also developed the martial arts-focused online game, Absolver. This next outing from them sticks to their melee-combat-centric roots, but with a more single-player focus.

The game's announcement trailer shows off a myriad of different locations in the game, one appears to be a museum-type area. The trailer also includes the nightclub we've seen in past trailers. The game's main gimmick is that the player's character ages each time they're defeated. Eventually, they will have aged too much and players will have to try again from the beginning. Moreover, progress carries over as the player character ages, with more experience, skills, and knowledge.

Additionally, the game is also now available for Pre-Order on both the PlayStation Store and Epic Games Store. The game has cross-buy activated on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, so buying a copy on either console will let you play on both. Moreover, players who pre-order the Sifu Deluxe Edition get a 10% discount and 48 hours of early access. Again, the Sifu Release date is on February 8, 2022.
