Houston Rockets star guard James Harden is one of the best players in the league today and is playing at a very high level this season to try and lead his team to a championship.

However, it's not just a title that he wants to give to the city.

For the fifth year in a row, the James Harden Family Foundation is giving back to the community, hosting a shopping spree for 21 single mothers and their children recently at a local Target store.

The four-time All-Star was also accompanied by his mother, Monja Willis, during the event which has been a tradition for him and his foundation during Christmas season.

This comes after he served dinner to 240 families in need on Thanksgiving to make sure they had a decent meal during the holiday.

Harden has been producing incredible numbers for the Rockets so far this year and is one of the early candidates for the MVP award. His averages of 27.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, 11.8 assists, and 1.5 steals per game has been vital to his team's success as they currently find themselves ranked third in the tough Western Conference with a 21-7 record.

If he continues to play at this level throughout the season, more happiness to the people of Houston could be in the offing if the Rockets eventually bring another championship to the city.
