Philadelphia 76ers small forward Tobias Harris is taking on more of a leadership role with the Sixers, according to power forward Al Horford.

Horford says Harris has been instrumental in trying to foster team chemistry, according to Kyle Neubeck of Philly Voice.

Team chemistry is very important in the NBA. The more guys get along off the court, the better they will be on it.

The Sixers have a great opportunity to win the championship this season. Their starting lineup of Ben Simmons, Josh Richardson, Tobias Harris, Al Horford and Joel Embiid is as good as any starting five in the NBA.

Philly is going to miss Jimmy Butler and JJ Redick, but the acquisitions of Horford and Richardson more than make up for the loss of Butler and Redick. Plus, Harris' usage rate will increase now that Butler is gone. The talented swingman is looking forward to having the ball in his hands more often.

Harris averaged 18.2 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 27 regular season games with the Sixers last season while shooting 46.9 percent from the field, 32.6 percent from beyond the arc and 84.1 percent from the free-throw line. During the 2019 playoffs, Harris put up 15.5 points, 9.1 rebounds and 4.0 assists.

The health of Embiid and development of Simmons will decide if Philly can win the title in 2019-20. However, Harris and Horford have to play at an All-Star level as well.
