Al Horford's status for Thursday night's game against the Celtics is in question, as the Sixers forward is dealing with soreness in his knee and tightness in his hamstring.

According to a report from Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer, Horford underwent treatment on Thursday morning and participated in shootaround. His status is expected to be updated at some point before Thursday night's game. He'll likely be a game-time call.

It's also worth noting that Thursday night's game is the first in a back-to-back set (vs. New Orleans on Friday).

It will be a bit disappointing if Horford is not cleared for Thursday's game, as it will be his first trip to TD Garden since joining the Sixers this offseason. If he is unable to play, Mike Scott would likely get a starting nod. Tobias Harris, James Ennis and Matisse Thybulle would see upticks in their usage rate as well.

Horford has been a nice addition for the Sixers. The former No. 3 overall pick has made 23 appearances this season, racking up averages of 13.8 points on 48.0 percent shooting from the field (36.6 percent from beyond the arc), 6.8 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.1 steals in 30.8 minutes per outing.

Thursday night's matchup between the Sixers and Celtics is scheduled to tip inside TD Garden at 8:00 p.m. ET, with TNY having ive broadcast coverage.
