It hasn’t been a terrific offseason for the Philadelphia 76ers so far, as they found themselves in the middle of a Twitter controversy involving Bryan Colangelo, who is now a former Philly president of basketball operations. Although Colangelo is succeeded by head coach Brett Brown as the team’s top operation executive, albeit on an interim basis, former NBA guard Baron Davis is keeping his eyes on netting the general manager role for the Sixers.
In a hilarious attempt to get the Sixers’ attention, Davis even joked about not having a burner account, an apparent dig at Colangelo, whose loss of his job was because of his alleged ties with a number of faux Twitter accounts.
If that didn’t get the Sixers to turn their heads, maybe Davis promising the city of him resorting to criminality to get LeBron James in free agency will.
The Sixers are long rumored to be among the top candidates to land LeBron James in the summer, though, no definite clues have come up pointing to that happening. But with Davis pulling the strings for Philly, who knows what could happen, right?
Davis played for 13 years in the NBA suiting up for the Charlotte Hornets, Golden State Warriors, L.A. Clippers, New Orleans Hornets, New York Knicks, and Cleveland Cavaliers.
