Philadelphia 76ers fans may be in for a treat in the 2019-20 season restart as Ben Simmons intends to unveil his new and improved jump shot.

During one of his workouts, Simmons was caught chatting with Detroit Pistons guard Tony Snell. Simmons hinted that he will be gunning for more jumpers in the season restart in Orlando.

Snell: You should be shooting way more. Your shot looks good.

Simmons: Orlando.

Snell: Orlando? I’ll be watching.

Simmons: I’m coming for it.

Ben Simmons has been criticized over the years for his lack of a reliable jump shot. Some believe that his game will elevate to the next level if he has a jump shot in his arsenal. After all, his passing game and inside scoring is already top-notch.

The late Kobe Bryant agreed with these criticisms, noting that Simmons should work on his jumper if he wants to be great. Simmons infamously panned Bryant's advice which attracted further criticisms — which came in the form of memes and jokes.

For the 2019-20 season, Simmons has drained a total of two 3-pointers out of six attempts. And after each 3-pointer drained, his teammates as well as the fans rejoiced as if he hit a game-winner.

Simmons took these criticisms in stride, not acting pissed of bothered in any way. But his recent conversation with Snell reveals that he is confident with his new stroke.

In the last two seasons, the Sixers have made it all the way to the Conference Semifinals. It's still a matter of wait-and-see, but Simmons's much-awaited addition to his arsenal might finally help his team past the second round.
