The Philadelphia 76ers have entered familiar territory through after dropping their first three games of the season.

However, rookie Ben Simmons has been one of the bright spots for the 76ers with his promising play. According to the 76ers' Twitter account, Simmons has put himself in rare company with Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson.

He was also the only rookie in franchise history to record those numbers over the first three games. Simmons has performed quite well in his first official campaign with 15.7 points on 42.9 percent shooting from the field along with 10.3 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 1.0 steals in 35.0 minutes per contest. This includes recording a double-double in each game.

What has been most promising is that the 21-year-old has shown much comfort in handling the point guard duties as the primary ball handler. He has proven most effective in transition with his court vision and his ability to get to the rim.

More importantly, Simmons has quickly proven to be a reliable source of offense while thrusting himself right at the early forefront for the Rookie of the Year due to his high level of production. If he's able to stay relatively, he should continue to string together many more promising performances.
