The Sixers will be without All-Star Ben Simmons on Thursday against the Brooklyn Nets.

Simmons has back tightness:

The Sixers are 34-21 on the season. They are in fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Simmons has appeared in 53 games for the Sixers this season. The former Rookie of the Year is averaging 16.9 points, 7.9 rebounds and 8.3 assists while shooting 58.4 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from beyond the arc and 62.8 percent from the free-throw line.

Back injuries are never to be taken lightly, so the Sixers are going to be cautious with Simmons moving forward.

Philly plays on Saturday against the Milwaukee Bucks. We'll see if Simmons is able to give it a go after resting on Thursday.
