Philadelphia 76ers guards Ben Simmons and Raul Neto will not compete in the Sixers' final preseason game on Friday against the Washington Wizards.

Simmons has already appeared in three preseason games for the Sixers, averaging 13.0 points on 61.5 percent shooting on top of 7.3 rebounds and 5.0 assists. He previously missed Philly's preseason win against the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday.

One of Philly's cornerstone pieces for the franchise, the Australian native notably hit his first career 3-pointer in the preseason, delighting fans and observers.

The Sixers and Simmons agreed to a five-year, $170 million contract extension in the offseason, keeping the 23-year-old point-forward at least until the 2024-25 season.

Neto, on the other hand, is coming off of a four-year stint with the Utah Jazz as a supporting player. The 6-foot-1 floor general signed a one-year, minimum deal with the Sixers in the summer, providing an experienced bench piece for Brett Brown's team.

The 27-year-old Brazilian point guard averaged 5.3 points, 1.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 12.8 minutes per game with the Jazz in 2018-19. Unfortunately, he just made 37 appearances for the team last season — his lowest after playing in at least 40 games for Utah in 2016-17 and 2017-18

Neto has appeared in all of the Sixers' four preseason games heading to Friday's bout with the Wizards. He averaged 10.0 minutes a contest.
