Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons had nothing but good things to say about new teammate Jimmy Butler. According to the reigning Rookie of the Year, the arrival of Butler has worked wonders for the team, and he has been one of the main reasons why the Sixers have been surging as of late.

Since Butler's arrival in the middle of November, the Sixers have gone on a very impressive run, winning eight out of their last 10 games. They are now 17-8 and sitting comfortably at the third spot in the Eastern Conference.

Regardless of how poorly Jimmy Butler handled his exit from the Minnesota Timberwolves, what cannot be denied is that he has been excellent for the Sixers thus far. The 29-year-old is currently averaging 18.1 points (on a career-best 48.5 percent shooting), 1.3 3-pointers, 4.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 2.0 steals, 0.6 blocks, and 1.9 turnovers in 32.8 minutes per game.

More importantly, the Sixers have looked a different team with the former Most Improved Player winner in the mix, as he, along with Simmons and big man Joel Embiid, have established themselves as a legitimate Big 3.

Simmons also went out to dispel the apparent misconception people may have on Butler as being a self-centered, me-first kind of fellow. As it turns out, the four-time All-Star is actually quite a team player and wants nothing but to bring out the best in his teammates.

Jimmy Butler appears to be moving on from the ugly episode that went down in Minnesota, and fortunately for the Sixers faithful, he seems set on putting this behind him fast.
