Sixers point guard Ben Simmons was reportedly at the Wells Fargo Center Saturday afternoon. Keith Pompey, Sixers beat reporter for the Philly Inquirer, tweeted the news. Pompey tweeted that he got this information from multiple sources, but there is no word on if Simmons will be in the building come game time.

Simmons has been the talk of the town since refusing to shoot in the playoffs last season. Ever since, he refuses to play for the team and claims that the city and fans are the reason for his mental health related absence.

Earlier this week, Simmons was rumored to be “cash flow broke” due to hefty fines from the Sixers franchise. This rumor came from well-known Philadelphia sports radio personality Howard Eskin. He noted Simmons' purchase of a 17.5 million dollar house, as well as his tendency to buy new cars very often.

Now, rumors and speculations are flying for Philadelphia fans and NBA fans that have been following the drama. Could Simmons be suiting up to avoid more monetary penalties? Is he trying to mend some broken bridges with coaches or teammates? Who knows.

Tonight's matchup is a huge deal for the Sixers regardless of Simmons' game time availability. Star center Joel Embiid was upgraded to questionable for the Saturday night game against the Timberwolves. He has missed the last nine Sixers games after testing positive for COVID-19 earlier this month.
