Without a doubt, shooting is the most glaring weakness of Ben Simmons' game, and it seems like he has been working on it this off-season.

Harrison Grimm of The Painted Lines pointed out a very intriguing detail that suggests just that. Simmons' teammate, Tobias Harris, recently posted a picture of his training workout alongside the former Rookie of the Year. In that post, Simmons was seen wearing what appears like shooting gloves, as Grimm suggested.

There's no real footage showing that Simmons is using these gloves to help him with his shot. So, this is just mere speculation.

Simmons recently announced that he would be skipping the FIBA World Cup this August to focus on training for the upcoming NBA season. This could indicate that he is hell bent on finally adding a working jumper into his game.

Simmons, who recently inked a five-year, $170-million deal with the Sixers, has never made a three-pointer over the first two years of his career. Many pundits have been criticizing the former no. 1 overall pick for his inability to shoot – even more so last season when he came back for his sophomore campaign with no improvement whatsoever.

Simmons has attempted just 17 three-pointers through 160 career regular season games. That is unprecedented in today's NBA where nearly everyone is trigger-happy, especially for a guard like him. However, it seems like that's about to change this season as he tries to incorporate the outside shot into his dynamic game.

Nevertheless, NBA fans shouldn't really expect a drastic change from Simmons. He's not going to turn into Steph Curry over just one summer of work. But a little indication of improvement and a confident consistent use of his jump shot should be enough for a solid step forward for the Australian forward next season.
