Ben Simmons just won it for the Philadelphia 76ers with a game-winning buzzer-beating tip-in against the San Antonio Spurs in OT. The Sixers needed all 58 minutes and 59.8 seconds to escape with a crucial 113-111 win on Sunday. It was Simmons who came to the rescue as he got all the way up and tipped a missed jumper from teammate Joel Embiid with just 0.2 seconds left on the game clock.

It doesn't get any closer than this (via NBA on TNT):

The three-time All-Star actually struggled all evening with the Spurs defense clamping him up. Simmons was just 1-of-5 from the field prior to his last-second tip-in and added just six boards and board assists to alongside five points. But, Simmons scored when it mattered the most.

His second field goal in 35 minutes of action didn't just help the Sixers grab the huge W on the road, the Sixers now take back the top spot in the East with the win with the Brooklyn Nets losing their own game on Sunday against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Safe to say that that was a huge bucket from the former first overall pick.

With the game tied in the Sixers' last possession, head coach Doc Rivers designed a play for Embiid who already had a game-high of 34 points. After getting to his spot, Embiid turned around for a 10-foot jumper but was clearly bothered by the length of Spurs' defense. The MVP candidate's shot ended up going far left and, with no one boxing him out, Simmons was at the right spot at the right time.
