LeBron James is yet to hit offseason mode as he just willed his Cleveland Cavaliers to another NBA Finals appearance after taking care of business in the Eastern Conference Finals, eliminating the gritty Boston Celtics, four games to three. Ben Simmons, on the other hand, is now on vacation after the Philadelphia 76ers were sent crashing out of the playoffs in the second round by the Celtics.

The Sixers are a young team expected to get even better in the coming seasons, but they would become a definite force not just in the Eastern Conference but in the entire league as well if LeBron James decided to come and play in the City of Brotherly Love beginning next season.

When asked by TMZ about whether being around LeBron in Philly is a good idea, Ben Simmons replied: “If he comes, I’ll play with him.” Simmons also said that “there’s only one way to find out” if he and James could play sweet music together even though both of them are facilitators.

There’s not much to glean from such pragmatic answers from the top candidate to win the Rookie of the Year honors, but it should also be considered that the point guard has surely been asked about it countless times before, so Simmons was just probably not in the right mood to field such questions.

James will hit free agency in the summer and while the Sixers are among the teams most linked to the four-time MVP, James’ next destination is something that remains a huge mystery.
