Some of the best players in NBA history have suited up for the Philadelphia 76ers at some point in their careers. What's even more impressive is that the Sixers have drafted guys and helped turn them into superstars.

There's a lot of players to choose from since the 76ers have such a rich history.

8. Andre Iguodala

The Sixers drafted Iguodala with the ninth overall pick in the 2004 draft. The athletic swingman averaged 9.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists as a rookie. Iguodala made the 2005 All-Rookie team.

From 2006-2012, Iguodala put up 16.3 points, 5.9 rebounds and 5.2 assists for the Sixers over a span of 533 games. He made the 2012 All-Star team, his lone All-Star selection.

Iguodala's Sixers career came to an end after the 2011-12 season. The 76ers traded the Arizona product to the Denver Nuggets, where he played one season before signing with the Golden State Warriors and winning three championships and one Finals MVP.

Iggy finished his Sixers career with averages of 15.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.9 assists. Iguodala has scored the ninth-most points in 76ers franchise history. He's also sixth all-time in assists.

7. Ben Simmons

The Sixers took Simmons with the first overall pick in the 2016 draft. The franchise was very excited for Simmons' all-around game to be put to the test on the NBA level.

Unfortunately, Simmons missed his entire rookie season with a foot injury. It caused some Sixers fans to worry if Simmons was going to be Greg Oden 2.0.

Fortunately for the Sixers, that wasn't the case, as Simmons made his NBA debut during the 2017-18 season and won Rookie of the Year by averaging 15.8 points, 8.1 rebounds and 8.2 assists. He also helped the Sixers get to the second round of the playoffs, where the team wound up losing to the Boston Celtics in five games.

During his second NBA campaign, Simmons made his first All-Star team. The lefty put up 16.9 points, 8.8 rebounds and 7.7 assists.

Before the 2019-20 season was suspended due to COVID-19, Simmons was averaging 16.7 points, 7.8 rebounds and 8.2 assists for the Sixers. He made his second straight All-Star team and is primed to be one of the best players to ever play for the 76ers if he stays in Philadelphia his entire NBA career.

6. Chet Walker

The Syracuse Nationals took Walker with the 12th overall selection in the 1962 draft. To recall, the Sixers used to be the Syracuse Nationals, but they changed to the Sixers in Walker's second year with the team.

Walker averaged 12.3 points and 7.2 rebounds as a rookie, en route to making the All-Rookie team. The small forward just had a knack for scoring and rebounding the ball.

From 1964-1969, Walker put up 16.8 points and 8.0 rebounds for the Sixers. He made three All-Star teams as well.

Philly wound up trading Walker to the Chicago Bulls in 1969. Chet finished his Sixers career with averages of 16.2 points and 7.9 rebounds. He's 10th in franchise history in points with 9,043.

Walker was voted as a Hall of Famer in 2012.

5. Maurice Cheeks

A Chicago native, Cheeks was the 36th overall pick in the 1978 draft. He wound up becoming one of the best players in 76ers franchise history.

Cheeks was part of the 1983 championship team which swept the Los Angeles Lakers in the Finals. He made his first All-Star team that season, too. Cheeks played 11 seasons for the Sixers and averaged 12.2 points and 7.3 assists in 853 games.

Cheeks is the Sixers' franchise leader in assists and steals. He's also eighth in points and was named a Hall of Famer in 2018.

4. Joel Embiid

Like Simmons, Embiid's NBA career got off to a bad start. JoJo was the third overall pick in the 2014 draft, but he missed the first two seasons of his career because of a foot injury.

Since he's made his NBA debut for the Sixers, though, Embiid has been a monster. He has career averages of 24.1 points and 11.5 rebounds through his first 202 games with Philly. Embiid is a three-time All-Star and has made the All-Defensive team twice.

Before the 2019-20 season was suspended, Embiid was averaging 23.4 points, 11.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists for the 76ers, who were in sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings.

3. Hal Greer

The Syracuse Nationals drafted Greer with the 13th overall pick in the 1958 draft. He played his entire career with the Nationals/Sixers and became one of the best players in NBA history.

Greer was a 10-time All-Star with the franchise. He averaged 19.2 points and 5.0 rebounds in 1,122 games with the team.

In 1982, Greer was named an NBA Hall of Famer. He's the Sixers' franchise leader in games, minutes, field goals and points. Greer scored 21,586 points with the 76ers.

The Sixers built a Barkley statue that sits outside the team's practice facility in Camden.

Barkley was named a Hall of Famer in 2006. He's scored the fifth-most points in Sixers franchise history. Chuck is also first in offensive and defensive rebounds.

1. Allen Iverson

Iverson is the most popular player in Sixers franchise history. He was the No. 1 overall pick in the 1996 draft and became an NBA icon.

A.I. averaged 23.5 points and 7.5 assists as a rookie to win the Rookie of the Year Award. His ability to score the ball was ridiculous for a small guard.

During the 2000-01 season, Iverson won the MVP award by averaging 31.1 points and 4.6 assists. He led the league in scoring and steals.

Iverson led the Sixers to the Finals that season against Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal and the Lakers. The 76ers won Game 1 in Los Angeles behind 48 points from Iverson. That's the game he stepped over Tyronn Lue.

An NBA Hall of Famer, Iverson averaged 27.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 6.1 assists during his legendary career with the Sixers.
