Since the Summer League, Los Angeles Lakers rookie Kyle Kuzma has turned a lot of heads with his impressive play, especially being a late first round pick. However, even before the Lakers selected him back in June, Philadelphia 76ers head coach Brett Brown already had eyes on Kuzma, per Jessica Camerato of NBC Sports.

The 56-year-old had nothing but good words to say about Kyle Kuzma, while adding that his personality is something that made him appealing to Brown. The Sixers coach then said that the Lakers forward can be considered a modern-day player because of his diverse skill set.

“He's a hell of a rookie,” Brown said. “That was a great pick by them.”

“I think he's a modern-day player. He can play with a bounce. He can make a three. He gets out in open court.”

“He had a big personality. He was great to speak with. There was sort of a cocky side that I was attracted to. … He's somebody that personally I was paying attention to a lot and paid attention to even more after you interview him because he was very endearing to me.”

As of this writing, Brett Brown is coaching against the Lakers and Kyle Kuzma as the Sixers visit Los Angeles at Staples Center. As much as Brown is impressed with Kuzma's game, though, it can be expected that the Sixers coach has something planned to limit his production.
