Sixers head coach Brett Brown is confused about Wilson Chandler's minute restriction.

As per Derek Bodner of The Athletic, Chandler is on a 27-minute restriction tonight against the Phoenix Suns. Though confused about how people come up with it, Brown said that he'll gladly maximize Chandler's services.

The 31-year-old is back from a hamstring injury and made his debut on November 3. This is his first season with the Sixers after being traded from the Denver Nuggets over the summer.

Chandler's restriction might be removed soon. Prior to the 27-minute restriction set tonight, he had a 20-minute restriction a few days ago. Per Serena Winters of NBCS Philly:

Through seven games, Chandler is averaging 4.7 points on 52 percent shooting, along with 4.1 rebounds with the Sixers. His best game so far came in their loss to the Orlando Magic. In 23 minutes, Chandler scored 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting, 2-of-4 from downtown. He also snagged four rebounds.

Once healthy and ready to go, Chandler is expected to take the starting power forward spot. Initially, it was a spot reserved to Dario Saric. But since the trade which sent Saric to the Minnesota Timberwolves, Chandler might be part of the first five with Jimmy Butler, Joel Embiid, JJ Reddick, and Ben Simmons. Chandler has already started three games this season so far.
