The Philadelphia 76ers pulled off an impressive victory against the Boston Celtics on Thursday, and this was thanks in large part to a spectacular performance from Sixers All-Star big man Joel Embiid.

TNT analysts Charles Barkley and Shaquille O'Neal had recently called out the Sixers superstar and suggested that he should look to stamp his authority during ballgames. Embiid took this criticism to heart and came out with a very dominant performance, and this got Sixers head coach Brett Brown thinking:

“I'd like to hire them as motivational coaches,” Brown told Tim Bontemps of ESPN with a huge grin.

Kidding aside, this actually isn't a half bad idea. Both Barkley and O'Neal are known for their fun-loving antics, but their success on the basketball court during their time in the league is something that cannot be denied. These two definitely know what they're talking about, and much like Embiid, even the biggest of stars would be willing to lend an ear to what these Hall of Famers would have to say.

It obviously worked wonders for Embiid, who proved to be an absolute force against the Celtics on Thursday, logging a game-high 38 points on 12-of-21 shooting and 12-of-14 from the charity stripe, along with two 3-pointers, 13 rebounds, six assists, and a block in 36 minutes of play.
