In their trip to Los Angeles, the Philadelphia 76ers lost to the Lakers and the LA Clippers and head coach Brett Brown ‘loves it.'

Per Ben Golliver the Washington Post, Brown praised the Clippers and Lakers for churning in a playoff-type performance, highlighting their physicality and intensity. With regard to his team, Brown is disappointed that the Sixers didn't respond well.

“Sadistically, we love it. You want to figure out what life is like in the playoffs? Do what we just did. … That’s playoff intensity & we didn’t respond. We got stood up, bent over, we threw things away.”

The short-handed Sixers squad lost to the Clippers on Sunday 136-130, followed by another defeat at the hands of the Lakers, 120-107. The team is still without the services of Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid who are both out with injuries. They now sport a 37-25 record for sixth in the East.

Their LA road trip was a chance to prove if the Sixers can go toe-to-toe with two of the elite teams in the NBA. After all, the Lakers are the number one team in the West and the Clippers hold the second spot. Analysts believe that either of the two will represent the West in the NBA Finals.

Despite their aggressive moves over the summer which landed veteran big man Al Horford, the Sixers are still considered a mid-tier squad. This has created doubts about whether or not this team has the capacity to win or if some major tweaks are needed.
